Background
Gimi is on a mission to Educate 10M children in personal finance by 2025. Our app has over 1M downloads and is used by tens of thousand parents and children each month. Gimi is looking for a full-time UX Designer that will be delivering user experience design that is derived from user- and data insights. You’ll join and be part of our product team, reporting to our Product owner and work closely with our UX Researcher.
As a UX Designer at Gimi, you will play a pivotal role in designing a user-friendly and engaging experience for parents and children. Your responsibilities include improving user adoption, engagement and retention of features.
This is a 100% position with requirements of working hybrid remote (partly from our office in Stockholm).
Responsibilities
Lead the design process, including setting up research goals together with our UX Researcher, wireframing and prototyping
Create user-centered designs that meet the needs of both children and their parents
Collaborate with our development team to bring your designs to life in a high-quality and scalable app
Continuously iterate based on user feedback and data analysis to improve the overall user experience
Develop and maintain our design system that ensures a consistent user experience across all touchpoints
Stay up-to-date with the latest UX trends and best practices and apply them to our app as part of shaping the way of working with design in collaboration with product and tech
Must haves (qualifications)
Be a collaborative team player
Broad knowledge of different types of UX methods, a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and a deep empathy for users
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
3+ years relevant experience as UX designer
2+ years educational background within the areas of UX, Interaction design or similar
Experience working in Figma
Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to adapt and self-organize
Confidence in balancing user needs, business objectives and technological constraints
Proficiency in English, written and spoken
Nice to haves
Confidence in producing clear and intuitive UX writing/microcopy
Working with children and/or designing for children
Previous experience with mobile apps or personal finance solutions
Previous experience with education or learning methodologies
