Product Owner
High-impact PO role owning dual backlogs (Mobile/Fintech). Drive efficiency and prioritization to align CPTO strategy, dev needs, and Partnership deadlines. Direct impact on user value delivery.
About the Role
We are scaling our development organization by separating core banking development from the customer-facing development, to become the App Team (Customer-Facing Features) and the Banking Platform Team (Core Banking Backend).
We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on Product Owner to join us at this critical inflection point. Reporting directly to the CPTO, your mission is to ensure that our two development teams are always working on the highest-value initiatives, maintaining a smooth, single flow of work, and that our critical Sales and Partnerships teams are consistently informed and delighted by our delivery cadence.
This is a unique opportunity to work with the foundational delivery processes for our two new teams, maximizing the value derived from our development investment and setting the standard for all future Product Owners within the company.

What You Will Own & Drive (High-Impact Responsibilities)
You are the singular point of accountability for the prioritization and delivery of work across both specialized development teams.
- The Balancing Act (Backlog Ownership): Own and actively manage prioritization for both backlogs. You must expertly balance internal product goals, developer needs, and external commitments to our Partnerships and Sales teams.
- The Single Entry Point: Serve as the internal "front door" for all requests (ideas, bugs, features), triaging and funneling work to protect the teams.
- Go-to-Market Communication: Manage stakeholder expectations and provide transparent progress updates, ensuring the Partnerships Team has reliable timelines for commercial launches.
- Agile Ceremony Facilitation: Structure and facilitate all Agile ceremonies (Backlog Grooming, Planning, Stand-ups, Retrospectives, etc.) to ensure efficient use of team time.
- Delivery Transparency & Forecasting: Establish simple, clear metrics (velocity, forecasts) so leadership always has an accurate, real-time view of capacity and timelines.
- Feature Acceptance & Quality Gate: Serve as the final sign-off for "Done." You will formally accept all delivered features, acting as the quality gate to ensure they are ready for release.
Key Non-Responsibilities (What This Role Is NOT)
- Long-Term Product Strategy: The CPTO sets the 12-month strategic roadmap and overall product vision.
- Technical Architecture: The CPTO and Engineering Leads define the core system architecture and technical decisions.
- People Management: This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Experience: 3+ years in a PO or comparable delivery-focused role managing complex prioritization.
- Agile Expertise: Strong, practical knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and using them to improve team processes.
- Team Structure Aptitude: Proven experience working effectively within software cross-functional teams.
- Systemic View: Proven ability to manage dependencies across distinct technical domains (UI vs. Core Backend).
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, particularly experience dealing with external B2B commitments.
Nice to Have / Bonus Points
- Product Lifecycle Experience: A holistic understanding of the product lifecycle, demonstrating the ability to contribute valuable insights from initial user research and concept design through to development and final delivery.
- Domain Aptitude: Familiarity with financial/banking technology and B2B partnership dynamics.
