This is Andreas Gustafsson
Data analyst at Gimi

Andreas, Dedicated to Data
Meet Andreas, our very own Data Analyst. We are very excited to have him come to our office every day, instead of his old one at Lifesum. Now that Andreas is here, he is going to take our love for data and turn the dial up to eleven!
“Gimi is at a very exciting stage right now, launching Gimi Master means that we will also implement a brand new business model. My role will allow me to build a structure that can help drive decisions regarding both the business and the product.”
What drew you to Gimi?
Smaller tech companies are really interesting places to work, the dynamic environment allows you to do truly impactful work. I also got a very good first impression of the company culture, everybody works really hard but there is also a playful vibe at the office.
What will be your first project at Gimi?
I’m joining the product team, so I will get started by analysing user behaviour to find insights that will help us build an app that both parents and children love to use.
What is your favourite thing about data?
Data is a tool that you use to build different models that help you understand how different things work in a much more tangible way than words and theoretical discussions can achieve. You can look at these models from different perspectives and discover new layers of information, making it a great complement to your intuition.
What is the biggest cliché about data?
That data is always objective and never lies.
What do you do in your spare time?
I love to cook and recently I have started working out more. Right now I am trying to find a way that my passion for cooking can benefit my work-out regime, which is an interesting challenge.
What is your best savings tip?
Before you purchase something, ask yourself: How will I feel about this in ten minutes? What about in ten months? How will I feel about it in ten years?
