Meet Alexander Windahl!
QA & Game Developer at Gimi

Alex, If He Doesn’t Know, Nobody Does
This is Alex Windahl, he works with QA and Game Development! We stole him from the Royal Institute of Technology, before that he built his own games and won a few competitions. But now he builds games for us! At our office! And sometimes he makes coffee!
“I’m looking forward to working with both the core product and a brand new project, the Gimi Game. It’s been one of our most requested features for a long time! Our users already love our mascot Piggy, I’m excited to see how we can develop the character in the game!”
Developing the Gimi Game and keeping the peace when the internal race for the high score begins.
What song do you listen to when you’re tired?
Peacock Tail by Boards of Canada
Who is your favourite superhero?
The Hulk or Spiderman, it’s hard to choose. There is something poetic about the Hulk’s backstory, especially in the TV show from the 70s. But then there’s Spiderman. Who doesn’t want to be Spiderman?
What is your favourite emoji?
🤠
What is the highlight of the week?
Fridays! That’s when I share my game with everyone at the office so they can test it and give me feedback. It often ends up in a competition for the weekly High Score, which gets everybody going for the evening After Work.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I remember when I was 6 years old, everybody in my class sat in a circle and shared what they wanted to be. I didn’t hesitate when I said Game Developer.
