Our reward winning app combines hands-on money management tools with digital lessons based on the latest research within digital didactics.

We are here to make a difference, to empower kids with the necessary knowledge to make sound financial decisions now and in the future.
Gimi is on a mission to Educate 10M children in personal finance by 2025. Our app has over 1M downloads and is used by tens of thousand parents and children each month. Gimi is looking for a full-time UX Researcher that can help us drive insight-based decision in our product development. You’ll join and be part of our product team, reporting to our Product owner and work closely with our UX / UI designer.
The core of the role will be to working with our product team. You will create research plans to gather insights to guide product decision making, and help the team create a great financial education experience that parents and children love to use. Work includes improving retention and adoption of features, creating a better understanding of how parent and children manage money, and evaluating the learning impact of different features.
In addition, expect to support other teams with their insight needs, such as marketing, sales teams and existing bank partners that use Gimi as their youth offering in their market.
The role is hands-on, expect to conduct interviews, tests and to present outcomes to the team - formalising bets to make the app adding as much value to the end user as possible.
Find, explore and conduct user research opportunities by identifying potential user problems or needs
Creating and execute on research plans with tools to gather and validate user problems in the most effective way
Present meaningful and actionable insights and user behaviour analysis, to guide and drive informed decision making approach to the user problems. You will support cross functional teams to follow-up on the insights in the solution creation process.
Gather insights and workflow with other teams, such as customer support
Validate the assumptions by user testing and iterate to improve the design
Facilitate workshops and participatory design
Be part of shaping the way of working with design in collaboration with product and tech
Must haves (qualifications)
Be a collaborative team player
Broad knowledge of different types of methods
Experience from working with research and discovery in an iterative way where insights are generated continuously
3+ years educational background in psychology, anthropology, sociology, human computer interaction, or a deep experience in implementing user research in product organizations
3+ years relevant experience as UX designer / User researcher
Experience in using user repository tools such as dovetail or airtable
Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to adapt and self-organize
Confidence in balancing user needs, business objectives and technological constraints
Proficiency in English, written and spoken
Nice to haves
Working with children and/or conducting research on children
Previous experience with mobile apps or personal finance solutions
Previous experience with education or learning methodologies
